Hence, pre-ambulation, Mom or Dad, Granny, or nanny can use trendy wheels. Purchase, borrow, or otherwise get—legally, of course—a pram. Stroller, if you prefer; specifically, Graco, Best, Baby Rock Star, or Trend, among others. Whichever, the best baby stroller is the safest one. We would not put our sixteen-year-old into a car to drive, knowing that the brakes were faulty. Would we want our baby confined in a stroller that was unsafe? Reality says that a mechanically inferior or improperly used piece of equipment could cause injury to the baby. Concrete is always hard to fall onto. The sun is bright and those UV rays are also dangerous for baby eyes. Pinches to a tiny finger are not merely very painful. A deep pinch on a large finger is one thing; the same pinch on an infant’s finger could be disastrous. While user error accounts for something, it is imperative that your child is placed in a mechanically safe stroller, jogger, or pram, whether for one passenger or even several. As families adding babies by multiples rises, so does the availability of aids to maintaining mobility. It is possible to find strollers, prams, and joggers for a quartet without having to custom-rig a train for tiny travelers. Before purchasing, compare strollers from several makers. Note their advertised positive features. Then also watch for safety alerts, recalls, and any other warnings about each stroller. If your baby rock star is too young to adjust his or her body for comfort, the greater is the attending adult’s need for awareness when using whichever “vehicle.” Just because a stroller, pram, or jogger has a top to it does not mean that bright sun cannot shine into baby’s eyes. Especially when wheeling about with your little one or more than one baby at a time, stay alert to the direction and slant of the sun when outdoors. Whether that pram is new and shiny or a well-worn hand-me-down, it deserves a baby buggy inspection, a stroller once over by someone who can ascertain whether little fellow in the blue one or diminutive daughter in the pink one or that mixed mob in a trendy Trend is safe while rolling along or parked under a shade tree. Color really isn’t important but safety is paramount for strollers or other wheeled items—and perhaps even more so for baby car seats.
